Nuna Rava: The King of Car Seats

It’s obvious every kid needs a car seat. What’s not obvious is what is the best option out of the hundreds on the market today. Do you go with the infant seat and switch over to a convertible seat later on? Or do you just jump right into the convertible? Really, you can do either. Just double check the newborn fit for some convertible seats, sometimes they don’t work very well.

Today, Ill be expressing my love for the Nuna Rava from the roof tops.

In a nutshell, it’s the seat every baby or toddler should have. Let’s jump straight to the awesomeness.

  • Rear facing to 50 pounds
  • Forward facing to 65 pounds
  • NO BUBBLE INDICATOR!
  • No re-thread harness
  • More leg room when RF
  • True tension doors
  • Chemical free fabric
  • SIP

It’s now known that keeping children rear facing as long as possible is safest. The Rava goes above and beyond with it’s 50-pound rear facing limit. Keeping the littles safe is every parents end goal, so Nuna wins here. Competitor seats have a rear facing max of 35-40 pounds typically. This is hands down my favorite part about the Rava.

No bubble to level..Say what?! Skip the frustration of balancing a bubble with this seat. The Rava was designed to allow you to choose the best angle for your child. There are two colors, red and blue. Red is for forward facing and blue is for rear facing. Now you should keep an infant at a greater rear facing recline, but beyond that the choice is up to your child’s comfort.

No re-thread harnesses are a huge time saver! It’s as easy as pressing the button on the headrest and adjusting either up or down. The Rava comes with 10 different headrest positions. Just keep in mind the straps should be at or below for rear facing and above when forward facing.

The Rava also gives your child extra leg room with its laid-back legroom expansion. As if the compact size of the seat wasn’t enough, Nuna also gives your children extra inches of leg room.

True tension doors make for easy install. Simply remove the fabric, route the seatbelt through the path, tighten and lock the belt and close the door. Yes, it really is that easy!

As of 2019 the Rava now comes in a chemical free/flame retardant free fabric. This is a huge move in the right direction for parents wanting a baby safe fabric.

SIP or side impact protection comes standard with the Rava. To use this feature you just press on the button to release the SIP pods.

There are so many amazing features I haven’t touched on, but these are my favorites! I will recommend the Rava every chance I get, it truly is the best seat in my opinion.

We have successfully rear faced our oldest beyond age four, with no intention to flip her forward anytime soon. This is a huge bonus for parents who wish to practice extended rear facing. Plus, if you rear face longer your toddler won’t see you eating snacks. LOL. We will forever be a Nuna family because of how they surpass the standards in both quality and safety.

I’ve used multiple brands of car seats and I’m urging you to go check out the Nuna line up. You will not regret it. They now have a convertible that can fit 3 across rear facing in some vehicles. Talk about innovation!
